Yasmin's is Girvan's Indian restaurant, at the northern end of Dalrymple Street near the station, and it does both eat-in and takeaway.
The menu runs through the classics — curries across the heat range, slow-cooked biryanis, creamy kormas, tandoori dishes and homemade chicken tikka — with the usual sides, breads and rice. It is well regarded locally, which in a town this size is the recommendation that counts, and it has built a following well beyond Girvan.
When it is useful
Two situations in particular.
Later in the evening. Most Girvan kitchens stop early, and Yasmin's is one of the few places still serving when the cafés and several of the pubs have finished — see dinner in Girvan.
Early in the week, when a number of the town's restaurants close for two or three days. It is worth ringing to confirm, but the curry house is usually a safer bet than most.
Practical notes
Booking is worth it at weekends, particularly in summer. Takeaway orders can be collected, and it is a five-minute walk from the station and about ten from the harbour.
There is on-street parking on Dalrymple Street, though it is the A77 through the town so the seafront and harbour car parks are easier.
For the alternatives, Bombay Cuisine is further along the same street, and see restaurants near Girvan and takeaways.
